Marc and Marty

Some stuff  Marty Quiteman and I did back in the 70’s.
Originally recorded on a Teac 3340S, updated and mixed digitally in 2011 and 2012
320 kb/s MP3 files

Detroit City
Lead guitar and bass tracks- the bass is doubled; picked and fingered. I also added the the metal clave part in the style of Bare's original arrangement.

Bojangles
Jerry Jeff Walker's song about Bill Robinson, the legendary black tap dancer, (1878-1949).
Marty on the Martin, I'm doing single note line on the D'Angelico.  I recently added a new bass part.

Bad Bad Leroy Brown
Jim Croce's song. I redid the acoustic rhythm guitar mimicking the original piano part and also the lead part, both on a 1954 Gretsch Synchromatic, and added the bass.

I've Got a Name
Another Jim Croce tune. New bass part.

Hey, that's how we looked back in ’74 !
Suzanne
Leonard Cohen’s love song to Suzanne Verdal, Marty's singing and chording on his gorgeous sounding Martin and I'm doing the fingerstyle arrangement on an unamplified D'Angelico A-1 archtop. I added the lead parts recently.

Port of Amsterdam
The Jaques Brel's song translated by Eric Blau for the off-Broadway show, “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris”. Original except for the newly recorded bass track.

The Wanderer
Marty sings and plays Fender bass and rhythm guitar on his powerful Martin D28. Original vocals and acoustic guitar.  I sing harmony and play the electric rhythm accents and a Duane Eddy style lead.  All original tracks.
